Aug 2023 - Aug 2024 Projects
As a Design and Digital Media Specialist Intern, I had the opportunity to create a wide range of impactful designs that engaged faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders. My projects included designing print and digital assets such as e-newsletters, website content, social media graphics, a booklet, postcards, stickers, and a t-shirt. This variety of work provided me with hands-on experience in print production, including setting up files for printing, understanding color spaces, and selecting appropriate materials, which deepened my technical expertise.
In addition to enhancing my understanding of production processes, I also created custom illustrations, further honing my illustration skills and learning how to incorporate them effectively. Working within the university's brand guidelines taught me how to balance consistency with creativity.
These experiences allowed me to approach projects more thoughtfully, problem-solve creatively, and effectively communicate ideas through visual storytelling.
This internship strengthened my ability to navigate both print and digital mediums, improved my technical skills, and helped me grow as a designer who can deliver high-quality work that meets the needs of diverse audiences.

Brand guidelines were changed and updated while having this position. This meant I got used to the brand identity before its change, then I had to adapt once they updated quickly. They were more restrictive with the updates which seemed like creativity didn't have much room, but with enough brainstorming, I overcome these challenges.
