Mind•full is an app that allows newly diagnosed individuals to learn more about their mental health in a more interactive and effective way. The app includes features such as a point-system when the user watches educational videos and levels up to win prizes. They also earn points when they click on a word they might not know and its definition pops up so they better understand any unknown medical jargon.
They can also document how they feel via drawing, writing, speaking and more whenever they feel like it. Additionally, the app provides an instant note taking availability of key things that were mentioned doing an appointment, so there’s no pressure about remembering everything for the patient.

How might we...decrease the fear of the unknowing in the mental health process for newly diagnosed college students with the use of educative and comprehensive design.
So that…they won’t feel overwhelmed and as hesitant to seek help for their mental health?
The interviewing process incorporated seven college students in which they were asked to discuss the interaction with mental health resources found on their campus. They were also asked about the accessibility of said resources and knowledge from any promotion that was potentially done. Lastly, they discussed their own mental health and how they've develop any coping mechanisms that may aid them academically.
"...I didn't even know about the mental health on campus [ISU] until"
"...there are posters but it wasn't something that they're [CMU] really vocal about"
Overall lack of quality resources on campus.
Transparent, simplistic, and educative elements are implemented in a tool to make utilizing mental health resources less overwhelming and easier for first-time and newly diagnosed patients/college students who aren’t educated on mental health in general.
Creating an app that is inclusive for those outside the targeted audience. Also, maintaining the goal of wanting a consistent use of the app for optimal benefits of the app, such as documentation, leveling up and retention of new information.
The use of blue and purple tones allows the user to feel more calm when entering the app.
